CEO and President
Emily Thomas Kendrick is the president and chief executive officer of Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators. She represents the 3rd generation of her family owned and operated company which her grandparents founded in 1964. A respected leader and industry ambassador, Kendrick began her career at Arrow 18 years ago after graduating from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. She learned all aspects of the operations side of the business while working in several offices in Metro Atlanta before moving into commercial pest control sales. In addition, she gained experience in the marketing and IT Departments before being promoted to chief operating officer in 2003. She assumed her role as president in 2008 and as chief executive officer in 2010. Kendrick has served on the board of directors of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) twice and has been active in the Professional Women in Pest Management (PWIPM). In 2009 she received the inaugural “Woman of Excellence Award” from NPMA. In 2011 she received the PCT/Syngenta Crown Leadership Award. In addition, Kendrick has been a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) since 2005 and has served on the Advisory Board for the Emory University Winship Cancer Institute since 2010, and is an Emeritus Board Member for St. Jude’s Recovery Center.
Chief Operating Officer
Tim Pollard is the chief operating officer and senior executive vice president for Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators. Pollard is responsible for overseeing all areas of operations. He is also responsible for the overall strategic planning, revenue, profit and sales for the company. With 24 years of industry experience, Tim’s career with Arrow began as the senior vice president of sales where he was quickly promoted to COO. During his tenure in the industry, Tim also worked for Dow AgroSciences in a variety of sales and management roles in the United States and Canada. Pollard is a graduate of Auburn University.
Chief Development Officer
Kevin Burns is the chief development officer for Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators. He grew up in Kansas City, Mo., and stayed in Missouri for his education. After graduating from college with degrees in chemistry and biology, Burns worked for Bayer and The Dow Chemical Company for a combined 22 years. During his career with Dow, Burns was named an inventor of the Sentricon System for which he received a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Burns joined Arrow in 2004 as vice president of sales. He has since been named vice president of sales and marketing and senior vice president of new business development before assuming his current position. In his present role, Burns leads Arrow’s mergers and acquisitions department, is responsible for new business development and business services.
Chief Human Resources Officer/SVP Professional Development
Shay Runion serves as chief human resources officer and senior vice president of professional development for Arrow Exterminators. She is a strategic business partner as a member of the Executive and Strategic Planning Teams at the company. Her duties include the management of the organization’s human resource strategic initiatives, objectives and functions, which include human resources, benefits, payroll, recruiting and the company’s intern program. She is also the executive representative for Professional Development which encompasses Arrow University and Technical Services. Most recently, Runion was named NPMA’s Women of Excellence in 2016 for her impact on our industry in Georgia and the national front. Shay graduated from Auburn University in Agricultural Sciences and has a Master’s of Sciences degree in Human Resources Development from Villanova University. She is currently Chairman of the Board for the Georgia Pest Control Association (GPCA) where she has served the past four years on the Executive Board.
Vice President of Operations
A 19-year veteran to the pest control industry, Mike Strickland is currently a vice president of operations for Arrow Exterminators. Strickland has spent the past 13 years Arrow where he has served in various roles including service center manager, vice president of operations in Tennessee and Georgia. Strickland oversees eight locations in Atlanta and North Georgia totaling $26 million in revenue.
Senior Vice President Operations
A 15-year veteran to the pest control industry, Charlie Jones is currently senior vice president of operations for Arrow Exterminators. He attended Auburn University where he earned his degree in agricultural business and economics in 1999. Jones has spent the past 10 years at Arrow where he has served in various roles including regional sales manager, vice president of sales, and vice president of operations. Jones currently serves as member of the Executive Committee, Strategy Team, Finance Committee, and Innovation Committee. Additionally, he oversees 30 locations across Georgia, Texas, South Carolina and Florida totaling $65 million in revenue.
Director of Marketing
Lauren Bullington attended the University of West Georgia where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing. She started her career in the pest control industry in 2010 when she joined Arrow Exterminators as a marketing assistant. She currently serves as the director of marketing. Bullington’s responsibilities include developing and implementing the annual marketing plan, budget and integrated media plan. She also manages Arrow’s public relations program, media negotiations, community involvement, commercial print, and works closely with strategic partners and agencies. During her seven years with Arrow, Lauren has received the Impact Player of the Year Fiscal Year Award, Golden Arrow Award, and an Innovation Award and currently serves on the Corporate Support Leadership Team, Forms Committee and a cross-functional Tiger Team.
Vice President of Human Resources
Xavier Cugnon, vice president of human resources administration at Arrow Exterminators, is a Senior Certified Professional from the Society of Human Resource Management with a background in manufacturing, utilities and the pest control industry. A former Marine, Cugnon obtained a graduate degree in human resources development from Villanova University. He is also an adjunct professor at Kennesaw State University’s College of Continuing Education for Human Resource certification.
Vice President of East Coast Florida Operations
Eric Gabe entered the pest control industry when he joined Arrow Exterminators in 1995. His job has taken him all across the country to serve in many different positions with the company and he is currently vice president of operations for Southeast Florida. Gabe is a Certified Operator in Georgia, former president of the Greater Dallas, Texas, Pest Control Association, and recently completed the Georgia Pest Control Association’s Leadership course. In 2011, Gabe received Arrow’s John C. Millican Impact Player of the Year award for his leadership and dedication. Two years later he was selected to be a part of the elite group of Arrow’s Senior Service Center Managers where he served on a panel to help guide other managers.
Senior Vice President Marketing and Inside Sales
Mike Malone attended the University of Georgia and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science with a major in entomology. Malone joined Arrow Exterminators right after graduating UGA in 2002. He has served on the Arrow Team for the past 15 years in almost all aspects of operations as well as the support side of the business. Malone began his career with Arrow as a termite service professional in the Woodstock, Ga., service center. In June of 2012, Malone was promoted to vice president of Customer Care Specialists (CCS), a job in which he led overall inside sales, including companywide CCS Sales as well as Arrow’s Special Operations Center. In June of 2015, Malone was promoted into his current role of Senior Vice President of Marketing and Inside Sales. He also serves on the Executive Committee and Innovation Team.
PCT Media Group
Dan Moreland, publisher of PCT, is an award-winning journalist who has covered the professional pest management industry for more than three decades. A graduate of Kent State University, where he majored in journalism, Moreland has served as editor of the last three editions of the Mallis Handbook of Pest Control, as well as Rodent Control: A Practical Guide for Pest Management Professionals by Dr. Robert Corrigan. He also serves as Executive Vice-President of GIE Media, a diversified publisher of business-to-business publications based in Valley View, Ohio.
Senior Service Center Manager
Whitney Powell is the senior service center manager for Arrow Exterminators’ Cumming Service Center. Powell has more than eight years in the pest control industry, all with Arrow, where he has held various roles including termite service professional, home evaluator and regional sales manager. Powell is a Certified Operator in WDO and HPC, Category 41 (Public Health). He has received the Rookie of the Year Home Evaluator Award, attended multiple Premier Club trips, and most recently recognized in the elite class of Arrow Exterminators’ Senior Service Center Managers.
Human Resources Administrator
Jessica Sherman is the human resources administrator at Arrow Exterminators. Sherman has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minor in human resources management. She joined the Arrow Exterminators team three years ago when she started her career working out of one of the Metro Atlanta service centers. This is where she learned the pest control industry before being promoted to Arrow’s human resources team.
Director of Inside Sales
Mickey Thomas joined Arrow Exterminators 2007 and she has held many positions on the Arrow Team from administrative to office manager to inside sales. Thomas began her career with Arrow as an administrative professional in the Columbus, Ga., service center where she quickly moved into the office manager role. During her five years as an office manager, Thomas was the inside sales specialist where she achieved Chairman’s Club status. In 2015, Thomas was promoted to her current role as director of inside sales where she is responsible for all inside sales companywide as well as Arrow’s Special Operations Center. During her 10 years with Arrow, Thomas has received the Impact Player of the Year Fiscal Year Award, Beyond the Call Award, Innovation Award, Pinnacle Club Award, Chairman’s Club Award, and Golden Arrow Award. Thomas also currently serves on the Corporate Support Leadership Team, Technology Team, and Uniforms Tiger Team.
